PKUnzip

Zip format files contain compressed versions of one or many application files. In order to get the actual files to install or run them, the zip file must first be decompressed into the original uncompressed files. PKUnzip is a popular program that can decompress zip format files back into the original files. 

If you do not already have PKUnzip or another program which can decompress zip files, click here to download the shareware version of PKUnzip now. When prompted by your browser, select that you wish to save the file. After the file is downloaded, right-click on any zip file and select the Open With.. menu item. Then choose PKUnzip as the application to associate with all zip files. After doing so, you will be able to unzip files by simply double-clicking on them.
