Features \ Worry-free Renaming
In Windows Explorer, renaming files can be frustrating because it is so easy to change the file extension when you only want to change the file name. In the Power Drawers Options dialog for a file, the filename and file extension are put in separate fields and the filename is selected when the dialog first appears. Therefore, the filename can be quickly renamed without worrying about changing the file extension. The extension can also be changed, but you have to click or Tab into that field to edit it.

Here’s the fastest way to rename a file or folder in a Power Drawers menu. Select the item in the menu, then press Alt-Enter to open the Options dialog for that item. The file/folder name will already be selected, so just type the new name and hit Enter to save changes and close the dialog.
