How can I disable Power Drawers? |
If you have the
Power Drawers taskbar icon showing, then right-click on it to
open its menu and select Disable
Power Drawers
to completely disable
Power Drawers. To re-enable
Power Drawers,
select the Enable
Power Drawers
option
on that same menu.
Alternatively, you can use the Enable
Power Drawers
Menus checkbox on the Configuration dialog to enable or disable
Power Drawers. To open the
Power Drawers Configuration dialog, either double-click
on the
Power Drawers taskbar icon or select the
Power Drawers item on any
folder’s right-click menu. The
Power Drawers taskbar icon changes to
translucent gray when
Power Drawers is disabled from the Configuration dialog or
the taskbar context menu and is gold when
Power Drawers is enabled.
An even quicker way to disable
Power Drawers is to toggle the Scroll-Lock key on
your keyboard. On most keyboards, the Scroll-Lock turns on a light on the
keyboard near the key to let you know the Scroll-Lock state. If the Scroll-Lock
is set, then
Power Drawers is totally disabled. Toggle the Scroll-Lock again to
enable
Power Drawers again.
When
Power Drawers is disabled with Scroll-Lock, it will still show “Power Drawers is
ON” on the Power Drawers taskbar icon’s tooltip because disabling
Power Drawers by setting the Scroll Lock is separate from using the context menu
or the Power Drawers Configuration dialog to disable
Power Drawers.
